A little about lighting..

Light is a form of electro-magnetic radiation. It is absorbed and reflected by everything around us. this process starts when white light which is made up of the seven colours of the spectrum (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet) hits an object the object absorbs all the colours and reflects back one colour, this is the colour we see. For example when white light hits a blue folder all the colours are absorbed apart from blue which is reflected. The light travels in the form of a wave-particle due.
In photography light is everything and effects everything natural light and artificial alike. when a camera shutter is opened by hitting the shutter button light hits the lens and goes through, but is refracted, it then travels through the apputure and hits the film strip, on the film strip there is a mixture of emollition and silver halide crystals. Here a chemical reaction takes place the light hits the film and leaves a negative image on the film, when this it developed it will be a real photo. this process is very similar to the way are eye works.
